A Conflict

There exists a conflict between the mind and the body. The mind wishes to burn free in a glorious bonfire of unbridled passion and put forth all that it has until all that is left is the smoldering embers that die one by one. The body, on the other hand, wants to live. The body slows the flame of the mind by impeding it with necessity. The mind cannot create, it must eat. The mind cannot create, it must work. The mind cannot create, it must sleep. At some point the mind lost its purpose. It began to believe that necessity was all there was. Necessity was all that could be. This made the mind very sad. A terrible kind of sadness that one can only experience when purpose is lost. But the mind is very clever. In ways not even it understands. And so, eventually it's purpose was realized yet again.
